Staircasing is buying further shares in your home.
This is the name given to the process where you buy further shares in your property. Shared ownership leases allow you to staircase in multiples of either 25% or 10% until you own the property outright. Usually you can purchase all the remaining shares but in some rural areas this may be limited to a maximum of around 80%.
