Arthington is our housing for older people scheme in Torquay
The scheme is situated in a very quiet location within the hamlet of Torre.
Once the site of a nursing home, it is now a complex of 31 one and two-bedroomed flats arranged around a central car park and set in beautiful communal grounds. Some first floor flats have views to Torquay sea front and across to Brixham.
The scheme is on a regular bus route providing good access to Torquay and is also within walking distance of a variety of local shops and a post office.
Arthington is covered by several doctors’ surgeries, all within easy access by either bus or taxi. The scheme has a communal lounge where you have the opportunity to join in various activities.
There is a part-time Support Advisor who actively works with residents to enable good quality independent living.
Our Older People’s Support Advisors offer a range of services:
• Individually assessed support and advice from trained staff
• Active promotion of independent living
• Direct links to a community alarm system
