Resident Involvement

Westcountry Housing gain TPAS Landlord Accreditation

On 4th February the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) awarded Westcountry Housing their Accreditation Award for resident involvement. The award lasts for 3 years during which we aim to continue to improve how we work in partnership with residents.

TPAS said "Some particular strengths are the organisation’s involvement programmes for scrutiny and governance, the communications panel and newsletter, and techniques for involving hard to reach groups (such as the Face 2 Face trailer).

The TPAS scrutiny panel has confirmed that the rigorous methodology to complete a successful landlord accreditation has been followed, and that on 4th February 2011 Westcountry Housing achieved the TPAS Landlord Accreditation in Resident Involvement for three years.

TPAS Consultancy would like to thank all of the tenants and residents at Westcountry who took part in the reality checking process and a large number of staff and Board members, without their support the assessment could not have been undertaken so thoroughly.

Particular thanks must go to Sarah Cracknell for her time and energy in supporting the process."
