Estate Walkabouts get a makeover

Read more about our 'new look' estate walkabouts here

In consultation with our newly formed Neighbourhood Advisory Group we are looking to categorise our estates on a traffic light system to ensure our resources are used where they are most needed.

Plymouth event We will be assessing estates using a variety of methods for example information from residents, surveys, estate inspections and information from our partner agencies. You may be aware of our new mobile office Face2Face@Your Place which we use for events and those inspections that require a concentrated effort with numerous departments and agencies, whereas estates with fewer issues will be visited by a member of Westcountry staff as usual.

We are keen to involve residents in the walkabout inspections and will notify when we are due to carry out an inspection so interested residents can accompany us if they wish. We look forward to seeing you there.

When carrying out these walkabouts, we check on such things as the cleanliness of the estate, standards of caretaking and grounds maintenance, vandalism and condition of gardens.

If you are interested in joining the Neighbourhood Advisory Group please contact Kay Rowlinson, Area Neighbourhood Manager or Rachel Bevan at our Torquay office, on 0300 100 1015, so we can tell you all about it.  Or contact us online to make an appointment.
