Equality and Diversity
Housing with Respect is a project involving and supporting Westcountry's Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) residents
Westcountry Housing, a member of Westward Housing Group, is committed to equal opportunities.
The Housing With Respect project is run by Plymouth and District Racial Equality Council.
For more information please read the Housing With Respect leaflet or contact PDREC through www.plymouthrec.org
Sailing in the Sound is an opportunity for local residents to meet and learn about diversity and equality in a fun environment. To find out more contact us.

We take part in the Housing with Respect stand at Plymouth's hugely successful Respect Festival, this next takes place in November 2011.
All partner organisations aim to:
- improve their equality and diversity policies and procedures
- share good practice to help deal effectively with racist incidents
- strengthen their commitment and offer support to their BME residents living in Plymouth.
- raise general awareness of the issues
Housing With Respect offers support to BME residents on behalf of the organisation, on an individual basis, as well as liaising with the partner organisations.
Plymouth and District Racial Equality Council works closely with the housing associations and the Council to manage the project.
