However there is good news for those who are looking to purchase under the Government’s Homebuy scheme. 100% mortgages are still available with many high street lenders for shared ownership(part rent / part buy).

Home2own
is a one-stop shop for all low cost home ownership applicants. Home2own markets all three HomeBuy products, and assesses the eligibility of applicants before directing them to local schemes which can best meet their individual needs.
Home2own markets homes under one of the three HomeBuy options - most notably Open Market HomeBuy - where eligible individuals can buy a property on the open market, using their own mortgage capability assisted by an equity loan.
Westcountry is one of 23 individual organisations named to cover 37 'zones' across England, assuming administrative responsibilities for all Low Cost Home Ownership products in their given area.
This makes Westcountry the sole agent for the whole of the South West from Lands End to Taunton.
Funding for the Homebuy products will come via the Housing Corporation's National Affordable Housing Programme for 2006-08.
