The Asset Management Department at Westcountry Housing Association is comprised of our ‘New Business’ team, and our ‘Property Services’ team.
The New Business team develops new houses and flats for rent and low cost home ownership, with the active involvement of our many stakeholders. We are in constant dialogue with the Housing Corporation, Partnership South West, the Local Authorities in which we work, and of course our own staff. We have an active and on-going development programme throughout the counties of Devon and Cornwall.
Our Property Services Team looks after the assets developed by the New Business Team. We have a continuous programme of investment into our properties to ensure that they will achieve Decent Homes Standard by 2008, two years in advance of Government set targets. We work to continually improve our service to residents in our properties, and have adopted partnering and volume procurement arrangements to ensure efficiency and value for money in all areas of our work. We intend that our residents’ homes, due in part to our continuing investment in them, will continue to give residents the pleasure and satisfaction which they did when newly let.
