A working party of residents, staff and board members have been meeting since August 2009 to shape the framework of our new Resident Scrutiny Panel. We are developing a Terms of Reference, Role decsription and Person Specification, Code of Conduct and breach procedures and a recruitment process which will be put to the Westcountry and Tarka boards in January and February 2010. Following approval they will be available here and the recruitment process will then begin.

The pilot Scrutiny Panel will run for 2 years during which time the project will be assessed for the impact it is having on the business and services for residents and for effective value for money.
