How are we doing?

You said.......... We did.............

We know our residents are the best people to tell us how our services need to be improved. We aim to offer a wide range of opportunties for residents to be able to tell us what they think. We know its important that residents see a differeence when they give us their views. Belolw you can find details of some of the services that we are improving because of what residents have told us recently.

Back in May 2009 we held a focus group with residents to ask what kind of service they expected when they were involved with us at Westcountry.

Together we came up with a list of standards they'd like us to try to meet and some ways of measuring how effective the Resident Involvement service is. Click here to see what we'll be measuring. Contact us if you think there's something we should be measuring that's not covered here.

In April 2010 we'll publish how well we've done at these so far. After that we'll be consulting residents again on what targets we should be aiming for.

On 24th October we held a Consultation Day at the Eden Project. Over 400 families applied to come and unfortunately we only had places for 200 so we're really sorry to anyone who was disappointed not to get a place.

We asked a lot of questions on the day so we are still working on the detailed analysis of how residents want us to improve but if you click here you can see a snapshot of the answers that were given on the day.

In our Resident Involvement Statement 2009/10 we've set out all the areas of service that we plan to work with residents to improve over this year. We met with a group of residents from all over our area in June 2009 to agree with them what our priorities for the coming year would be.

If you'd like to come and meet with us later in 2010 to talk with us about how well we've done with this please contact us at involve@westcountryha.org.uk
