Plans for the coming year
We formally meet with our actitive residents annually to review the impact resident involvement has had in the past 12 months and to plan our priorities for the coming year.
As a Resident Involvement Team we also have a 5 year strategy for the development of Resident Involvement within Westcountry.
Resident Involvement 5 year Strategy
The 5 year strategy was developed with our residents and approved by the board in January 2009. It outlines how we intend to develop resident involvement opportunities and is set out in four main themes; the menu of activities, engaging 'hard to reach' groups, promoting accountability and community development.
The themes of the strategy reflect the overarching aims of our Resident Involvement Policy.
Each year the team develop a more detailed action plan to set the priorities for the coming year.
Resident Involvement Statement 2009-10
Our Resident Involvement Statement sets out what each department is aiming to develop or improve with residents over this year. Each department manager is responsible for involving residents in their area of service. The Resident Involvement Impact assessment for last year tells you all of the changes that happened in 2008/09 that were influenced by what our residents told us.
