How you can seek a mutual exchange
Tenants of housing associations and local councils may exchange tenancies with each other. If you find someone with whom you wish to exchange, you must both first obtain consent to exchange from your landlords. Consent will depend on such matters as your family details, compared to the characteristics of the property to which you wish to move.
Westcountry Housing Association keeps mutual exchange registers at its offices in Torquay and Plymouth. You can advertise in these registers, and view them to look for an exchange.
